About: 

EMI Global is seeking an IT Support Specialist (Systems Management Staff) to assist with the development and maintenance of secure, well-functioning Information Technology systems across the EMI network. This full-time position is based at EMI’s Global Office in Colorado Springs and reports to the Global Programmes Director.

We are seeking an individual who can directly engage with IT needs in the Global and USA offices, while also coordinating with other EMI IT staff and consultants worldwide.

Qualifications: 

In addition to the typical EMI Staff prerequisites, candidates for this position must have:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft operating systems (Windows Server, Desktop, and other Microsoft office applications) and server applications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge with the following systems is necessary:
    • Microsoft Active Directory, Desktop Operating Systems
    • Microsoft Cloud applications and systems
    • Design software licensing management
    • Microsoft Azure (Entra) management
    • Third Party Cloud based hosting ie. AWS, Digital Ocean
    • Mainstream Office Application implementation and licensing
    • Network structured wiring
  • Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of help desk software and remote-access systems.
  • High-level communication skills. Patience and understanding.
  • Language Proficiency(s): English
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate differing time zones.
Responsibilities: 

The following are essential responsibilities for this position:

  • Spiritual and professional discipleship through EMI’s programmes and opportunities.
  • Directly support Global and USA office staff and interns with Tier [0] IT requests, including hardware, software and network procurement, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Directly support EMI office IT POCs (Point of Contact) who have escalated requests to Tier [1] GO IT staff, including issues related to performance of network items, deployment of new network hardware, management of user accounts, permissions and volume software licenses.
  • Escalate and manage the coordination of requests to Tier [2] support, generally networking or other specialist tasks and troubleshooting per established guidelines.
  • Manage all related tasks within an organization-wide IT ticketing system, follow-up with all related requests and close resolved tickets.
  • Maintain updated registrations and subscriptions for centrally-supported IT systems and applications.
  • Support new IT system installations and testing, and develop IT system replacement plans together with GO IT staff, consultants and office IT POC’s.
  • Work with GO IT staff, consultants and office IT POC’s to ensure that all EMI information systems are protected and secure. Assist in conducting regular system audits, including network data and security systems.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of IT policy, best-practice and process guides for the organization.
  • Assist with the training of office IT POC’s in basic Tier [0] IT tasks.
