July 2006 Project Update
The design project has been completed and sent to the university. They are seeking funds to build the library/classroom building.
Original Project Scope
The Universidad Evangelica Boliviana (UEB – or Bolivian Evangelical University) recognizes the contributions of eMi through our previous work a few years ago that resulted in "excellent plans for the construction of our hospital unit and other projects." At this time, UEB has requested our assistance from a new eMi team in redesigning the entire campus to meet strategic planning goals for future growth and development.
Founded in 1980, this interdenominational university was the first evangelical university in all of South America. Under new administration, the university seeks to infuse vitality and innovation into the UEB, while continuing to fulfill its original mission of forming competent, exemplary, Christian professionals who will lead their homes, communities, businesses, and nations with integrity and strong Biblical principles.
This new administration has taken on an ambitious strategy of growth for the next ten years and eMi will help navigate them through this time with a new comprehensive master plan for the entire campus, addressing numerous new facility needs as well as long-standing struggles with inadequate infrastructure, site circulation, and traffic flow. Based on the work of the eMi team, they will establish their first priority as to which new building to design first and this will be incorporated into the scope of this project work as well.
