Project Scope
Planted in the highlands of Western Kenya by missionaries in 1935, watered by the Holy Spirit, and growing in the grace of God, Tenwek Hospital is a mission hospital providing compassionate care for the body, mind, and spirit, and medical training for those who would extend this mission. Their motto is, "We Treat - Jesus Heals!"

Tenwek Hospital is one of the largest mission hospitals in Africa. It provides primary health care to 600,000 Kipsigis people in a 32-kilometer radius and serves as a referral hospital for a much larger area. They recently completed construction of a new Surgery Center designed by EMI (see photo). Since the opening of the Surgery Center, many additional patients have been referred to Tenwek Hospital. They requested EMI's help again to design a new hospital building that will provide medical and surgical semiprivate rooms, an ICU, a burn unit, and space for a physiotherapy department.

We hope that you will consider joining us as we continue to support Tenwek Hospital and their ministry of healing in Western Kenya!
