EMI Project 5488

Mid March 2009

Original Project Scope
On the edge of the Sahara desert, Village of Hope School was formed 7 years ago as a boarding school for impoverished children who are presented with the Gospel, discipled, educated, and sent back to their villages.. The first group of children has now moved on to the middle and secondary school level, having placed third in their region in national tests. Many of these children - when they are home for the holidays from school - have actually facilitated the starting of churches in their villages!

In five years, this first group will be ready for an advanced university level of study, and there are no Christian universities in the Francophone, West Africa sub-region. They will be forced to go to universities that are dominated by Muslim leadership.

We will need a full EMI team of engineers, architects, and surveyors to prepare a master plan for the future of the school and university and to design the Phase I buildings of dormitories and classrooms. Will you prayerfully consider joining us as we partner with Word of Hope and venture into the Sahara in Ouagadougou?
